TAPECOMPOSITIE

Tape compositions are electronic music compositions that are played from CD or magnetic tape, without the interference of instrumentalists. This phenoma is the base of this object.

An electronic composition is made and recorded on magnetic tape. The tape is then cut up into equal pieces and placed in order on the canvas. The composition is also audible from within the canvas.

The term tapecomposition therefor has a double meaning: it's both an composition on tape as it is a composition made out of tape.
